After 11 years of working in virtually all areas of the automotive sector with brands such as, Peugeot, Honda and Mercedes Benz, Dermot took a year out to complete his MBA. Since then, Dermot has worked as a consultant in sales & marketing, process improvement and procurement, in both the public and private sector. Before joining Promise 2 years ago, he worked for the brand design agency Circle, and for The British Design & Art Direction (D&AD).
In addition to managing Promise's new business and marketing function, Dermot also understands the Big Talk process and implementation intimately, working as a consultant on numerous projects with clients such as Vauxhall, The World, Jumeirah, ebookers, Jurys Doyle and Cannons Health Clubs. Currently, he is working on developing a children's lifestyle brand with the first store due to open on London's famous King's Road in early December.
Dermot also organizes the quarterly 'Luncheon Meet' where speakers include the likes of Lorraine Twohill, European Marketing Director for Google, Franco Bonadio, Worldwide Brand Director for The Body Shop, and Peter Riddle, Author and Chief Political Commentator for The Times.
Work permitting (which he loves), Dermot enjoys gastronomic delights, travel, cycling to work and anything healthy.
