Cathy Verrieres
Starting her career as "Yvonne Welcome, Honeymoon Coordinator!", Cathy has been working in a variety of roles, all of which involved using the telephone since 1978. In 1980, she joined a start up agency that grew to become a 40-strong group with creative, PR and media buying teams.
In 1989, Cathy became interested in the brand and identity sector. She called SampsonTyrrell (later Enterprise IG) and got a role in their new business team, helping them through the transition in the market place. She was instrumental in building this single London design agency to being one of WPP's biggest international divisions.
In 1999, she was headhunted to join FutureBrand. During this time, she was involved in developing a new business strategy for the consumer brand and innovation team. When Promise was founded in 2003, the team got in touch and Cathy is now supporting the marketing and new business strategy with her passion for fresh approaches.
If Cathy wasn't doing what she's doing, she would be singing jazz and soul in a smoky bar, inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys!
